About USMON

USMON is an acronym for U.S. Monitoring, Inc., which was founded and developed in 2006 by Michael Scholin, Au.D. As an IONM pioneer in the early 1980's, Dr. Scholin helped launch one of the very first independent IONM monitoring companies. Over the years, he has consulted with many IONM businesses and worked for several IONM equipment manufacturers, holding VP positions in sales, marketing and manufacturing. This background, as well as his experiences as both a CNIM certified Technologist and licensed Interpretive Reader, have given him a unique, well-rounded perspective of the industry.

Working with many hospitals, technologists and IONM companies throughout the country over the years, Dr. Scholin saw the need for better standardization of processes and centralization of data. Having previous experience with database programming, he designed USMON so that IONM companies could utilize consistent standards and employ documented procedures on a daily basis.

The USMON staff continues to develop the USMON Workflow System, utilizing the latest Web 2.0 techniques combined with industrial strength MS SQL databases and highly secured servers. USMON is mindful of medical HIPAA compliancy issues while operating under tight security processes. But best of all, USMON has developed an affordable, “customizable” interface with an easy to follow work-flow-process that saves time, saves money, automates many processes, promotes consistency and greatly reduces the risks inherent within the industry.
